Welcome to one of the preeminent museums in Bernalillo. The collections and events at Bernalillo Community Museum are second to none. You are cordially invited to our Museum, where you will get the chance to expand your knowledge through our exclusive collection and optional tours. You will be exposed to new ideas and different exhibitions that will develop your mind. Our ever-growing institution is dedicated to expanding our visitors’ knowledge. Ultimately, we are in the business of education, and we believe in providing learning experiences for children and educational opportunities for adults. With our temporary exhibitions and events, as well as our permanent collections, we are sure that everyone will leave our Museum with new knowledge.

Launched in July of 2019, the Bernalillo Community Museum seeks to 1) leverage the power of local history and traditions to build local capacity, 2) reflect the area’s multivocality, and 3) boost civic engagement. We serve families from 500-year-old Hispanic villages and sovereign Pueblo communities located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. We leverage cultural resilience to empower local economic and community development. Through modifiable exhibits on topics of broad local relevance, the Museum is built to be a community-relevant institution that inspires collaborative problem-solving informed by the past.
